Pallet Position

A pallet position (or pallet slot) is a single space in a warehouse where one pallet can be stored. Warehousing costs are frequently calculated based on the number of pallet positions occupied. A standard pallet position includes one pallet at a specific location within the rack or storage area. This metric helps facilities calculate storage density, optimize space utilization, and determine inventory carrying costs.
